Gemma Cartwright, Editor in Chief
Gemma launched Catwalk Queen whilst studying for a degree in Fashion Journalism at The London College of Fashion. During this time, the site was nominated for an EMAP Fanzine Award, and Gemma was described as one of the ‘Editors of the Future’ by The Independent. She worked on the site until 2009, when she took some time out to work on other online projects. She joined Aigua Media in September 2011 and is delighted to be back at the helm of Catwalk Queen!
Throughout her career, Gemma has worked closely with brands and retailers. She has guest edited blogs for Topshop, Evans, Koodos, Yell and Grazia and made various TV and radio appearances. She has also judged a modelling competition and hosted workshops at Britain's Next Top Model Live, Graduate Fashion Week and The Ideal Home Show.
Gemma has appeared in Vogue, The Guardian Online, The Observer, The Telegraph, The Independent, Grazia, Cosmopolitan, Company, SHE and The Evening Standard to name but a few.
In 2011, The Telegraph Online listed Gemma as the third most influential UK fashion insider on Twitter.
Kimberley Foster - Editor
In 2006, Kim landed in London and jumped straight into a two-week work experience placement at Catwalk Queen. Little did she know, after taking a few months off to go travelling, that this would lead to a full-time editor job!
For the next two years Kim saw Catwalk Queen grow and develop into one of the biggest fashion blogs in the world, opening the door for her to attend fashion week shows in London and Milan as well as other major fashion events. It also allowed her the chance to meet some of the world’s most influential fashion identities such as Giorgio Armani, Matthew Williamson, and Kate Middleton.
Kim returned to her hometown of Melbourne, Australia in 2008, where she continues to work on Catwalk Queen. Her passion for blogging and fashion and her amazing ability to hunt down news and scoop even the biggest fashion titles makes her an absolute asset to the team!
