Crafty Crafty launched in 2007 with the aim of becoming the go-to resource for modern craft fanatics. Written by a team of well-respected craft experts, the site thrives on its passion and enthusiasm, and is particularly popular during Halloween and the festive season.

Writer, crafter, traveller and giant knitted squid wrestler Lauren has been a Crafty Crafty writer since 2007 and the site’s Editor since February 2009.

She has been featured in press both internationally and in the UK for both Stitch London (the knitting community she founded in 2005) and for her graffiti knitting exploits. She has spoken on street art at London’s British Film Institute and her work has been seen in: The Guardian, Time Out, Cath Kidston Magazine, Evening Standard, Sunday Times, Metro, Berliner Zeitung (online) Reuters, Londonist, Boing Boing, Craftzine, (Radio) BBC World Service, BBC Radio Stoke, ABC Radio Australia, Deutschland Radio (TV) Télévision Suisse Romande, This Morning, BBC News and Channel 5 News.

More recently Lauren has become an author, publishing the Stitch London knitting book in September 2011. She is also rumoured to be artist and sneaky stitching graffiti knitter Deadly Knitshade, author and photographer of Knit the City: A Whodunnknit set in London, though she will neither confirm or deny this if you ask.
